Good decks are not piles of favorite cards. They have a plan, enough consistency, and a way to win.

Start with the win condition

Before buying upgrades, decide how the deck wins. Then choose cards that support that plan instead of distracting from it.

Deck building checklist

  1. Pick one main strategy.
  2. Add enough early plays.
  3. Include answers to common threats.
  4. Test before spending more money.
